How to set up the Sigma Sport BC 1600 Wireless Cyclocomputer

If, like me, you just bought a Sigma Sport BC 1600 wireless cyclocomputer from Performance, you may be wondering how in the hell to put it together. After all, the instruction manual does not show the correct parts and it's in so many languages that it can't really be read by mere mortals. After a fair but of guesswork I was able to figure out where that part labeled 'DIGITAL' actually goes. I figured I could save you the time and frustration by documenting it here.

The grey box labeled 'SPEED' goes where you might expect; on your fork near the sensor you placed on your spoke (you did put the sensor on your spoke, didn't you).

The box labeled 'DIGITAL' is much more cryptic. At first, I thought it was some fitting for a cadence sensor. After some investigation, I realized that it is the receiver for the wireless speed-sensing transmitter (the box marked SPEED). It fits on the back of the handlebar mount. Simple, right? :)
