Happy Turkey Day

So another Thanksgiving has come and almost past. Another opportunity to stuff ourselves into new pant sizes and wonder why on Earth we would ever have eaten so much food. Why anyone on Earth would eat so much.

I took a bunch of pictures. One hundred eighty or so. Ever since I got this new Canon EOS Rebel XT, I just haven't been able to stop snapping pics. I'm noticing that, with a better camera, all of my shots look much better. Not just more detailed, but I'm able to capture the moment and frame the picture more effectively. I credit good old SLR technology. Viewing your shot through a 2.5" LCD screen just isn't the same as loking right through the lens. It also helps that the camera is much faster. That is, the lens and the electronics are faster. This has translated into capturing far fewer half-closed eyelids in my shots. A welcome improvement.

Anyway, I'm stuffed now. Went for a walk after dinner. The brisk night air was refreshing and the walk did me good, but I was hoping to walk off the bloat. That didn't happen. So here I sit, typing away at the keyboard, bloated and miserable. Can't wait for leftovers!
